Collection: Elizabeth Lewis
Elizabeth Lewis is a Sydney-based emerging artist, having completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours at UNSW Art + Design in 2020, minoring in painting and ceramics.
Her expanded ceramic practice is characterised by hard-to-grasp feelings of curiosity and nostalgia, referencing craft and modern mythology. Explored through meditations on colour, unlikely symmetry, self-referential language and intuition, the result is highly stylised objects and vessels. She is interested in utilising materiality and the basis of vessel forms to examine how objects can reflect and contribute to a greater sense of wonder and connectedness with history.
