Kerryn Levy
Asymmetry Vessel 22.006 Spotted Gum
This group of sculptural vessels by Kerryn Levy evokes the sinuous movement of eucalyptus trees in the Australian landscape. Finished in rich, highly textured surfaces with wide, frilled openings evoking the unfurling of spring blooms. Each piece is made by hand using the coiling method, with traces of the making process visible in the natural patterns on the surface of the clay created by her fingers.
Every piece is hand-built using Australian Stoneware. A unique number is given to the vessel, with the first number noting the year (18-22) and the second - the vessel number.
